Service Agreement

This agreement lets both of us know, from day one, exactly what the work we’re about to do involves. What you receive, when you receive it, what I need from you, and what you can expect from me. Take a few minutes to read it calmly before requesting the service.

When you make payment, you confirm that you’ve read this agreement, that you understand it, and that you agree to it, along with the Self by Paula Privacy Policy. If that’s not the case, please don’t proceed with the request or the payment.

Throughout these pages, “you” refers to the person requesting the service, and “I” refers to Paula Gómez, the person behind Self by Paula. When I refer to “the parties”, I mean both of us. Both of us declare that we have the legal capacity necessary to enter into this agreement, and that we do so freely and voluntarily.

What brings us together is simple to name and profound to live: supporting you as you move towards your goals and the life you want to build.

1. Conditions for Requesting the Service

For me to be able to support you, a few basic conditions need to be met.

• You need to be 18 years of age or older. If you’re under 18, I’m unable to provide this service to you.
• By requesting it, you confirm that you’ve read and understood this agreement, that you have the legal capacity to accept it, and that the personal information you’ve shared with me is accurate.
• That information is the foundation of the entire analysis, so please review it carefully before paying. If something is incorrect or you’d like to adjust it, now is the time: once I receive payment, I begin working with that data and I’m unable to accept changes afterwards, as this would mean redoing work that isn’t included in the service.
• You’ll also need the basics to connect: a working device and a stable internet connection. That part is on your end.

2. Nature of the Service and Limitations

I want to be very clear about this, because it matters to me that you know exactly what you are, and aren’t, receiving.

• This service is not medicine, therapy, or legal or financial advice. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or mental health condition, and it doesn’t replace the support of a qualified professional. If you’re going through a crisis, or if you have health concerns, the most responsible thing I can tell you is to seek out the right specialist. If at any point during our work I believe that’s what you need, I’ll tell you and support you in taking that step.
• Coaching also doesn’t replace therapy. They’re different things, with different purposes, and neither substitutes for the other.
• Astrology, here, is a tool for reflection: a symbolic language we use as a starting point to explore your situation. It isn’t a science and doesn’t claim to be. It doesn’t predict the future, doesn’t guarantee results, and doesn’t give you certainty about what’s going to happen. I invite you to read your report with a curious and critical eye, never as a verdict.
• The decisions you make as a result of this service are yours, and Self by Paula is not responsible for them.
• And one more thing: if at any point I believe this service isn’t what you need, I reserve the right not to provide it.

3. Description of the Service

3.1 What Coaching Is and How I Work

Coaching is a process of transformation. I don’t give you answers or recipes: I support you in finding your own, and in being able to sustain the changes you decide to make. It’s collaborative work that opens space for self-discovery and hands you back the reins of your own path. The session is focused on one thing: helping you move forward.

3.2 How Far the Process Reaches

Coaching is holistic, which means it can touch on different areas of your life: work, money, health, your relationships, your education, your rest. What you do with that — how you approach it, how you apply it, and what you decide to put into practice — is yours, and yours alone.

3.3 What I Need From You

For this to work, I need three things: that you speak with me honestly, that you’re open to receiving questions and feedback, and that you give real time and energy to the process. And one more, perhaps the most important: the results depend on you. My job is to support you and give you tools. Yours is to take the steps. No one can walk your path for you.

3.4 Use of Content

Everything you receive — the report, the materials, the content of the session — is for you. It may not be reproduced, copied, resold, or used for commercial purposes.

4. Process and Delivery Timelines

4.1 The Request

It all starts when you complete the form. There, you tell me who you are and what theme you’d like to explore. You then receive this agreement along with the payment link. Once I receive your payment, I send you the context document for your astrological report. It’s important that you know something before you download it: at that moment, digital delivery of the service formally begins, and the right to cancel and request a refund no longer applies. I explain this further in section 6.1.

4.2 The Report

From there, I get to work: I analyse your information and prepare your astrological report, focused on the theme you’ve raised with me. You receive it within a maximum of 7 calendar days from the download of the context document. During those days, I may write to you via WhatsApp or email to confirm or clarify a detail. I need you to respond within 24 hours; if it takes longer, that time is added to the delivery timeframe.

4.3 The Session

Along with the report, you receive the link to book your session. My recommendation: leave at least 5 days after receiving it before your session. You’ll need that time to read it, sit with it, and arrive with your own questions. The session lasts 90 minutes and takes place via Google Meet or Zoom. There, we work through anything the report raised for you and go deep into the theme you brought, using coaching methodology.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is a one-off charge that covers the full service. It’s made before you download the context document. Payments are processed via Tide, through the buttons enabled for that purpose, and are also governed by that platform’s terms.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

6.1 On Refunds

This is a bespoke service: your report is built from scratch using your information and cannot be reused or offered to anyone else. Because of this, the moment you download the context document, my work begins, and no refund is available from that point onward. As this is a digital delivery, that download marks the start of the service and, with it, the end of the 14-day right to withdraw. Before that moment, everything remains open. If you have questions, ask me before downloading.

6.2 If You Need to Move Your Session

Life happens, and I understand that. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 18 hours before the start time. If I don’t hear from you within that window and you don’t show up, the session is considered as having taken place. Even so, I’ll always try to reschedule with you in good faith.

7. Confidentiality and Personal Data

7.1 What You Share Stays Here

Everything you tell me is confidential and doesn’t leave our working space. There are two exceptions, and I’d rather name them upfront. The first: if what you share represents a genuine danger to you or to someone else, I’m obliged to inform the relevant authorities so that protective measures can be taken. The second: if a legal process compels me to appear before a court, confidentiality may no longer apply. Only in circumstances this extreme would I ever be required to disclose the content of our conversations.

7.2 How Long I Keep Your Information

I retain the documents, information, and data you share for a minimum of 7 years, as required by insurance. Once that period has passed, I delete or securely destroy it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Warranty and Limitation of Liability

I’ll say this with care and with clarity: you are responsible for you.

For your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. For the decisions you make, the actions you take, and the results you get from this process. I am not liable for the actions or omissions you decide upon, nor for any direct or indirect results arising from the service.

Under no circumstances am I liable for indirect or consequential damages. Should any liability on my part arise, its maximum limit will be the amount you have actually paid for this service.

9. No Employment Relationship

This agreement does not create an employment relationship, a partnership, an agency, or a representation between the parties. What connects us is exactly this: the provision of the Astrology + Coaching service on the terms described here.

10. General Provisions

This document contains everything agreed between the parties regarding this service. Any change must be made in writing and signed by both parties.

Should any part of this agreement be found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will continue in force unaffected.

And this agreement is between you and Self by Paula alone: no other person may enforce it.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

11.1 Governing Law

This agreement, its content, and its formation — including any non-contractual claims — are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

11.2 Jurisdiction

Both parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute related to this agreement or its subject matter.

11.3 If Something Goes Wrong

If a disagreement arises that we’re unable to resolve by talking it through, we commit to attempting good-faith mediation within a reasonable timeframe from when the issue is raised. Only if that doesn’t work would we turn to other means of resolution.

And should legal action ever be taken, each party covers their own fees and costs, regardless of outcome.
